December 08, 2004

Boston, MA. December 8, 2004 - Bridgeline Software announced today that it has been selected by Astra Tech, Inc., a subsidiary of AstraZeneca pharmaceuticals, to implement netEDITOR-pro content management software for their new U.S. extranet.

Astra Tech USA is headquartered in Waltham, MA, and is part of Astra Tech Worldwide, founded in 1948 and headquartered in Mölndal, Sweden. Astra Tech develops and manufactures advanced medical products and implantable devices, concentrating their attention in the fields of urology, odontology, surgery and radiology. The extranet initiative, called the Tech Extranet, will specifically support growing U.S. distribution of Astra Tech's line of industry-leading dental implant technology in the U.S. market.

In addition to supporting their marketing, sales, support and customer service teams, the Tech Extranet website will be Astra Tech's primary communication portal to the dental professional community. Membership will be extended to dental professionals across the United States.

Bridgeline's netEDITOR-pro software was selected following a rigorous vendor review process by Astra Tech that included many leading content management products. Bridgeline will complete the end-to-end development of the Tech Extranet in an international collaboration between Astra Tech U.S., Astra Tech Headquarters and the Tuvemark Advertising Agency in Sweden.

Bridgeline will provide web design, information architecture, system integration, and hosting. The flexibility of netEDITOR-pro makes it an ideal platform on which Astra Tech Inc. can further expand their web initiatives in the marketplace.
