Large Life Insurance Carrier Launches Web-Based Agent Sales Activity Management System Developed by Bridgeline Software

Boston, MA. March 29, 2005 - A large Midwest life insurance carrier recently launched a powerful web-based sales activity management system developed to help drive results through all levels of their Field Force. Bridgeline Software was selected by the carrier to build the system because of its ability to develop complex database/business process solutions, particularly within the life insurance industry. The sales activity management system was customized to accommodate a user hierarchy that matched the carrier's levels of field management. Administrative tools allow Home Office and Field Management to control field reporting relationships and to set sales and activity goals individually and across their agency system. Additionally, the system segments sales activity into categories consistent with the carrier's sales methods and product mix, and allows their agents to track their sales activity either daily or weekly. Sales Managers work jointly with their agents to set activity goals the system uses as benchmarks to calculate success ratios.

Reporting functionality is a major feature of the system. Agents can choose from several pre-defined reports to analyze activity details over a particular date range or view activity trends over a multi-week or month period. Sales Recognition Levels are extremely important in an agency system and thus, agents using the system can quickly gauge their current activity level (compared to past results) and make adjustments in order to reach their goals. "We want our agents to constantly review and refine their approach to sales activity in a way that always pushes them to the next level. Also important is the ability for management to review sales activity in order to identify trends and best practices. Having these tools allows us to support the Field in a way we could not before. If something is working, we want to know about it and communicate this to the rest of the Field.
