On-Demand Web Based Platform Improves Content and Relationship Management

Boston, MA, May 11, 2006- iapps, a division of Bridgeline Software and leading provider of on-demand Internet solutions to the philanthropic sector, announced today that Grantmakers for Children, Youth and Families (GCYF) is using iapps’ Orgitecture to provide its members with better access to its programs and resources.

Using the Orgitecture platform, GCYF now has an integrated solution for managing its information assets as well as member relationships. The new site provides online registration for programs, a searchable resource library with a tool for member submissions, audience-specific listservs and a searchable membership directory. A password-protected extranet provides members with a virtual workspace in which to access information and resources for specific GCYF committees. Prospective members can now submit membership applications electronically, which can be reviewed, approved and integrated with GCYF’s new Web-based member management system.

Grantmakers for Children, Youth and Families is dedicated to helping foundations of all sizes improve the well-being of children, youth and families. Representatives of more than 500 private, corporate, community, and family foundations participate in GCYF events and programs. GCYF needed a next-generation Web site with robust content and relationship management capabilities so it could more effectively advance knowledge-sharing and collaboration among its members.

To achieve these goals, iapps customized several of the Orgitecture modules to meet GCYF’s unique requirements, including modules for online membership applications, event registration and management, member management and content management. GCYF’s new extranet provides a secure workspace to support the ongoing work of its board committees.

“Extending our Orgitecture platform to a community of practice like GCYF is tremendously gratifying for us,” said David Goldsmith, iapps’ Vice President of Business Development. “By Web-enabling many of GCYF’s core business processes, we’re able to advance our own mission, which is to strengthen the work of organizations working to improve grantmaker effectiveness. Orgitecture positions GCYF for a rapidly-approaching future in which its members expect to use the Web for virtually all their interactions with the organization, save for face-to-face meetings.”
