Nomura Securities Launches New Compliance Web Application Developed by Bridgeline Software

March 01, 2006

New York, NY. March 1, 2006- Over the last six years, Bridgeline Software has become an integral part of the Nomura Securities Fixed Income web development team by augmenting the Nomura internal staff with web designers, information architects, multimedia developers as well as front and back end developers. Bridgeline has provided web design and development support throughout many of Nomura's Fixed Income web based initiatives and has developed a multitude of stand alone web-based applications to support Nomura's business objectives.

The Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) recently set forth a comprehensive set of federal security regulations (Regulation AB) in regards to Asset-Backed Securities (ABS). In compliance with these newly defined regulations, the SEC permits securitized assets (static pools/groups of loans within Deals) to be disclosed on an unrestricted website meeting certain record-keeping requirements. In an effort to comply with these recent regulations, Nomura Securities turned to Bridgeline Software to develop a new web property to publish the Nomura Deals information online

The newly designed web property provides a means to search Nomura (ABS) residential deals and Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) currently in inventory. Each deal contains the defined group characteristics and attributes, deal specifications as well as ongoing performance measures and other details for each group of loans within a given deal. The application also displays any related historical deals for performance comparison as well as the seller percentage make-up of the deals. Nomura's online disclosure of their deal information and performance coincides with the regulations set forth by the SEC.

The Nomura Deals application consists of a secure administrative section that Bridgeline custom-built to maintain the public website. This portion of the application contains an extensive data entry system allowing Nomura administrators to create and manage new and existing deal packages, define characteristics as well as update ongoing performance on a regular basis. A highly sophisticated workflow schema has been integrated allowing multiple administrators to create, review and publish deals to the public website.
