Founded by the Web Marketing Association in 1997, the WebAwards is the annual standards-defining competition that sets industry benchmarks for the best websites in 96 industry categories submitted by interactive agencies and website marketing departments in more than 47 countries from around the world. The new website supports how Partners HealthCare, an integrated health system founded by Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, helps inventors, thought-leaders, entrepreneurs, and industry bring new ideas in healthcare innovation from product concept to market commercialization. The updated RVL website streamlines how users access and interact with resources such as funding, research and development, intellectual property, licensing, and marketing. Winning in the Education Standard of Excellence category is the Hooked on Phonics eCommerce website ( Hooked on Phonics was created in 1987 and has since been used by more than 2 million families to help teach children critical reading, math, and study skills. Hooked on Phonic’s new eCommerce system greatly enhances their capabilities around product promotion, customer service, and overall system administration. Many automated features were built into the system including BOGO (Buy One Get One free), bundling, and cross-sale, which reminds customers during the shopping and checkout process that they may also be interested in other related items.
