iAPPS Powers New Mission Critical Website for Global Broker Dealer

Woburn, Ma | August 04, 2011

Bridgeline Digital, Inc.  developer of the award-winning iAPPS web experience management (WEM) platform and interactive technology solutions, announced today it has redeveloped a new website for a market leading global broker dealer that is a member of more than 70 financial exchanges around the world.. The new site, developed on iAPPS Content Manager and supported internally within the firm by leveraging multiple iAPPS Developer licenses, is focused on fostering their client-driven financial services amidst a rapidly – and sometimes drastically – changing global market.

Bridgeline's market-leading iAPPS Product Suite is the only leading WEM platform available as either a SaaS or perpetual license that unifies Content Management, e-Commerce, e-Marketing, and analytics capabilities - enabling Marketers to swiftly enhance and optimize the value of their web properties. The iAPPS Product Suite was recently selected as a finalist for two 2011 CODiE Awards and iAPPS Content Manager is the 2010 CODiE Award Winner for Best Content Management Solution, globally.

A primary reason iAPPS was chosen as the platform for the firm’s web experience strategy was to unite their sprawling global network. “When they came to us, they had over a hundred websites all over the world running on a variety of different platforms. They needed to unify multiple sites, take control of their content strategy, and maximize effectiveness when making site changes,” says Michael Matteo, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Bridgeline Digital’s New York operation. ”iAPPS, with its deep integration, ease of use and ability to easily and completely integrate with legacy systems, was a perfect fit.”

With the work that has been completed on the new website, the firm’s global network was streamlined from those hundreds of sites to four main geographical concentrations enveloping operations across North America and Europe. Plans are to continue the upgrade of all remaining global sites onto the iAPPS platform in order to promote a consistent brand and user experience across the globe.

The built-in, intuitive and integrated toolset across the iAPPS Product Suite facilitates the firm’s web developers to maintain a streamlined, robust content management environment – ideally suited for the constantly changing financial industry landscape - so that end users, investors, stockholders and other global financial concerns can depend on the sites’ content being consistent, relevant, timely and always fresh.

A critical component to the firm’s installation of iAPPS is its integration with the CountryHawk© geo-location tool to enhance the site’s global management of content. Since the firm has a hugely active international presence, it’s important that the web experience is tailored based on the location from which visitors are accessing the site . Attaching content to specific geographic locations insures that regional offices – including variations in services - are represented accurately, every time.

Further bolstering iAPPS’ suitability for this project was the firm’s previous, positive experience with Bridgeline, as well as with iAPPS, when they leveraged the product’s SaaS licensing option for an evaluation period. After assessing the iAPPS platform for over a year, the firm opted to develop the site on secure, proprietary servers within their own firewall and took advantage of iAPPS’ flexibility with the Perpetual licensing option. Bridgeline worked closely with the firm’s web administrators throughout development and launch to make sure SEO efforts were maintained, and to take full advantage of iAPPS Content Manager’s built-in SEO capabilities.
