The American Psychiatric Association Launches a New Unified, Collaborative Portal on the iAPPS Product Suite

With an abundance of information resources, the website is one of the most valuable assets APA offers its members and the general public. The website redesign project focused on core objectives to simplify navigation and information architecture, improve search capabilities, and modernize the overall look and feel. Additionally, APA required the new site platform to be able to manage its large volume of content in an easy to administrate, scalable toolset without compromising performance or security.

APA engaged Bridgeline’s award-winning interactive services team to design and develop a site that would reside within a dedicated Bridgeline-hosted server environment. The new site design and architecture brings value to the APA’s members both through the sharing of member-centric information and the delivering of online resources that support member practices. Operating under a managed, perpetual licensing option, Bridgeline provides APA with the iAPPS content management software, as well as site development, deployment and maintenance support -- all within a dedicated hosting environment. The new site enables APA to realize their customization requirements while Bridgeline maintains operational controls designed to meet their complex security and privacy needs.
