Paul Oetjens

Executive Vice President & General Manager

Paul Oetjens has been an executive at Bridgeline Digital since 2007 and is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Bridgeline’s Chicago business unit.

Prior to joining Bridgeline Digital, Mr. Oetjens was Vice President and General Manager of Purple Monkey Studios. Purple Monkey was a growing, award winning, web application development company headquartered in the Chicago area. Purple Monkey was acquired by Bridgeline Digital in 2007.

Mr. Oetjens has over 11 years of programming and application architecture experience. He began his career at Purple Monkey in 1997 and filled many roles, including Application Engineer, Project Manager, Technical Manager, Group Manager, Vice President of Operations, and General Manager.

Mr. Oetjens received an MBA from DePaul University with a concentration in Integrated Marketing Solutions and a BA in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago.

Tom McGourty

Senior Vice President of Business Development

Tom McGourty is the Senior Vice President of Business Development for Bridgeline Digital’s Chicago region.

Mr. McGourty has more than 20 years of sales management, business development, and project management experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining Bridgeline Digital, Mr. McGourty was part owner and the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for gomembers, Inc., a leading software development company in the non-profit marketplace. Prior to gomembers, Mr. McGourty was the Director of Information Technology for the Realtors National Marketing Institute. Mr. McGourty is a frequent presenter at industry events on leveraging technology in business environments

Mr. McGourty holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from DePaul University and a Masters in Information Systems from Illinois Benedictine University.

Raymond Schauer

Vice President of Engagements

 

Ray Schauer is Bridgeline Digital's Vice President of Engagements for the Chicago region.

Prior to joining Bridgeline, Mr. Schauer was Director of Technology at Purple Monkey Studios, a growing, award winning, web application development company headquartered in the Chicago area. Purple Monkey merged into Bridgeline Digital in September 2007.

Mr. Schauer has over 10 years of software development, application architecture, and project management experience. He began his career at Purple Monkey in 2000 and filled many roles including Software Developer, Development Group Manager, Project Manager, Director of Technology, and Director of Architecture.

Mr. Schauer received his B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Alessandra Barrutia

Director of Business Development

Alessandra Barrutia is Director of Business Development for Bridgeline Digital’s Chicago region.

Ms. Barrutia has a successful background in both B2B and B2C sales, strategically helping Fortune 500 & Fortune 1000 clients to advance in the online space. Prior to joining Bridgeline, Ms. Barrutia was a Business Development Representative at Acquity Group, a digital consulting firm headquartered in Chicago. She was responsible for fostering long term relationships with Marketing, Technology, and Communication Executives and bringing in prominent new business through the delivery of solutions incorporating strategy, design, and technology.

Beyond her work at Bridgeline, Ms. Barrutia volunteers as a team member of Remodista, a retailer’s forum for all things mobile commerce. She contributes to the marketing, sponsorship, and planning efforts for Moximoré and Mobile for Mommies brands, and she actively supported the 2011 Bricks and Mobile events in Chicago.

Ms. Barrutia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from DePaul University.
